Next, we will steer towards Moray, renowned for its mesmerizing agricultural terraces carved like an amphitheater into the earth. Here, the Inca’s genius is undeniable, as they created micro-climates to cultivate a variety of crops. These concentric circles are a testament to the advanced Incan understanding of agronomy.
Our journey continues to the Salineras de Maras, where there are salt pans that are into the mountainside. It formed a patchwork of crystalline pools that have been since Inca times. We will navigate the edges of these pans, where salt joints by hand as it was centuries ago.
