We will begin our Short Inca Trail 2 Days adventure with an early pickup from your accommodation in Cusco. The drive takes us through the Sacred Valley, offering stunning landscapes before reaching our trek starting point at Chachabamba. With the excitement building, we’ll embark on the hike to Machu Picchu. With the feeling of anticipation of the ancient path under our feet we will continue.
The trail unfolds through lush cloud forests and past archeological wonders. This leads us towards the beautiful Inca site of Wiñay Wayna. Here, we’ll marvel at terraced hillsides and intricate stonework, pausing to reflect on the historical significance.
After exploring, we will continue hiking the Inca Trail. We must ascend towards the Sun Gate, Inti Punku, the traditional entrance to Machu Picchu.
Our arrival at the Sun Gate rewards us with our first majestic views of Machu Picchu. The mountain will be under a golden sunlight or misty cloud cover. We’ll capture this moment with photos, holding the memory close.
This is when the day concludes with a descent to Aguas Calientes. We will rest and recharge, eagerly anticipating the final ascent to Machu Picchu the following day.
We rise early, catching the first light of dawn, and make our way to the bus that will take us to Machu Picchu. The anticipation builds with each switchback turn on the ride up the mountain. Once we arrive, our tour guide leads us through the heart of the ancient city. We will be illuminating its history and mysteries.
